CARE was established after World War II to provide relief packages to war affected families. Responding to human-made and natural disasters has become part of CARE’s identity and is implemented by all 12 members. Disaster preparedness and
response includes the process of analyzing risks, building preparedness among vulnerable communities, emergency relief for victims and long term rehabilitation.
