Raks Thai’s human resources management policy is based on the principles of human development, participation, and equal opportunity.  This is for the purpose of the following:

Hours of Work

The employees are to work 5 days a week, from Monday through Friday, with 2 weekend days

Normal hours of work for full time employees are as follows:

07.00 a.m.  – 16.00 p.m.

08.00 a.m.  – 17.00 p.m.

09.00 a.m.  – 18.00 p.m.

Total work hours of each employee must be 8 hours a day excluding lunch break

Benefits is holiday - leave day

1. Permanent full time employee who passes the probation period is entitled for an annual leave according to his/her years of service. Start from 12 work days/year for after probation to 5 years of service, 15 work days/year, 17 work days/year and 20 work days/year on a prorated basis according the years of service. (Employee can carry over up to 15 unused annual leave days to the next calendar year.)

3. Employee is entitled to 7 work days of paid emergency leave taken on account of death of immediate family members.

4. Maternity Leave: All female pregnant employees are entitled for a pre- and post-delivery maternity leave for a period of not more than 90 consecutive days, including weekends and holidays for any given pregnancy. During such maternity leave, employee shall be paid up to a maximum of 60 days.

5. Parental Leave for New Born: Regular employee both male and female is entitled to 10 work days of parental leave for child caring within 2 years after the date of delivery.

Program Officer-PWID

Reponsibilities

The PO is a key person in the Program Quality Department responsible for the development and strengthening of Raks Thai’s programs with an emphasis on the harm reduction for the people living with the injecting drug users and coordinating with project partners in achieving project goals and objectives. Develops large scale proposals for new funding opportunities. Designs monitoring and evaluation systems and engage in the overall programmatic and financial monitoring and reporting.  Initiates and maintains relationships with key program partners, public and private agencies, as well as local and international donors.

Qualification

  • Graduate degree in political science, business management, economics or related areas.

Program Officer-Advocacy

Reponsibilities

The operation of this position will be under the supervision of Director of Program Quality Department, Raks Thai Foundation. Policy advocacy officer will lead the policy advocacy strategy, along with the strategic communications to increase the public awareness or to advocate for policy change regarding to the issues and challenges affecting program population. The scopes and responsibilities include: 1) the development of policy advocacy strategy and advocacy planning and campaign; 2) conducting the policy research/analysis and collecting policy-relevant information to improve the judgements of policy makers; 3) developing a communication plan and capacity building activity to support project staff and project partners to ensure the effective communication for policy change. S/he will also work closely with project team and project partners, media relations, policy makers, as well as stakeholders and decision makers from across society to advocate for policy changes.

Qualification

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Public Policy, Policy Study, Policy Analysis, Public Administration, Political Science, Communication, Mass Communications & Journalism or relevant fields from reputed university.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of relevant experiences in public policy, policy analysis, policy development or policy advocacy for policy change.
  • Experience in providing communication packages to raise public awareness, as well as developing policy dialogue, communication strategy and tools for advocacy and campaign.

Reponsibilities

One person to assist with conducting a needs assessment of the target population, planning educational activities, networking, referral, media development, and design of interventions with project staff.  This person convenes meetings with various agencies, conducts monitoring and support for volunteer activity, produces reports and records the process and outputs of activities to educate the target population.

Admin & Accounting Assistant Based in Sumut Sakhon / Samut Prakarn

Reponsibilities

There are additional staff positions to assist with administration and procurement in branch offices of Raks Thai. This includes logistics and supply management of essential equipment and supplies.  The staff need to make sure the office is presentable and orderly, and reflects the good image of the entire organization to other agencies and individuals who visit.  There need to be timely reports and print materials, financial balance sheets and administrative information that is accurate and neatly filed and easily accessible.

Reponsibilities

One position in the Organizational Communication Department to help with coordination, administration, meetings, and events.

One position for a finance and accounting officer to prepare financial reports, scan documents, compile supporting document for expenditures, etc.

Two positions, one in the Resource Development Section, and one in the Project Quality Section to provide training in creative design and production of print media, communications, writing, journal production, content, and producing columns.

One position in the HR Section to help with recruitment and training, staff benefits, and staff database management.
