The Raks Thai Foundation (RTF) was established on August 15, 1997 as a Thai successor to CARE International inpromoting strong communities and assisting the disadvantaged in society.

ENVIRONMENT & CLIMATE CHANGE

Environmental adaptation to the adverse effects of climate change.
In the area, the Foundation promotes activities for the care and rehabilitation of the natural resource base and sustainable use of the natural resources in productive ways, e.g., for food security, crop diversification, and community agricultural cooperatives.

Children and youth learn about proper nutrition and healthy eating,and refrain from bullying others and to help eliminate bullying. Programs include the Dare to Do Good Project to combat bullying in the school, the Youth Peer Leadership Project, and the Sustainable Lunch Program.

In the area, the Foundation builds occupational capacity and skills of women living in hill communities of the northern region of Thailand, and women in the three southernmost provinces of the country. The programs help provide alternative occupational options for women to provide sustainable support to their families.

In the area, the Foundation builds knowledge and skills by caring for people living with HIV, treating tuberculosis and malaria, and by promoting reproductive health.
The programs strive to improve access to treatment and care for those in need, including referral to clinical facilities as appropriate.
